On March 1, 1872 Yellowstone National Park became the first national
park in the world. The wild beauty of the Yellowstone area and the
unique geothermal wonders make Yellowstone National park a must see for
those touring the United States. There are many attractions both
in and around the park and a wealth of outdoor
activities that will keep you busy for as long as your stay permits.
There is a limited amount of lodging within Yellowstone National Park
so most visitors stay in one of the gateway towns surrounding the park.
The biggest of those gateways is
West Yellowstone, Montana, which marks the western entrance to the
park. West Yellowstone is a perfect place to stay while in the
greater Yellowstone area given it's proximity to the most popular
features of Yellowstone National Park and it's wide selection of lodging
options.
