 April 1-20, 2012: Yellowstone "Cycle" Days
Bicycle through Yellowstone for free and before the park opens to cars and buses. From West Yellowstone you can ride to Madison Junction and then to the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone or Mammoth Hot Springs.

The National Park Service has waived admission fees to all national parks on 17 selected dates throughout 2011 and encourages all Americans to visit a national park this year. Celebrate National Parks Week with free entry to Yellowstone!

Our community honors those who have served our country in the Armed Services. Service will be held at the Fir Ridge Cemetery at 11:00 am.

June 2012: Mountain Bike Biathlon
The West Yellowstone Ski Education Foundation (WYSEF) will host a Mountain Bike Biathlon on the Rendezvous Ski Trails. This unique event combines mountain biking and target shooting. BYO-Bike and Helmet, rifles provided. Safety clinic included.

Learn all about West Yellowstone activities, attractions, and upcoming events while you meet with local businesses about what's fun in West Yellowstone this summer. The "Taste of West Yellowstone" will allow you to taste the best of local restaurants, bakeries and eateries. Starts at 11:00 am at Hayden Hall (Holiday Inn Conference Center). Free admission.

July 1, 2012: Junior Smokejumper Program
Meet a real smokejumper, learn about smokejumping, and become an official Junior Smokejumper with hands-on activities covering fire suppression, fire training, fire tools, parachute techniques, and plant identification. FREE program open to children ages 6-12 Monday-Saturday, starting July 1st at the east end of the Chamber/Visitor Center parking lot & Dunbar Park.

Our Fourth of July celebration this year includes some "down home" fun-outdoor barbeque benefit for the fire department, parade, music and fireworks (conditions permitting). Parade line up at 5:30 and parade starts at 6:00. Fireworks start at 10:00 pm.

A three day outdoor festival that will celebrate contemporary American roots music by showcasing the emerging and established artists of Farmageddon Records-an ambitious new Montana-based record label featuring an eclectic roster of edgy, roots fare from around the country. 45 plus bands and artists will make the trek to Hebgen Lake, just minutes away from the town of West Yellowstone MT.
